Food trade buyers visiting the Virginia Food and Beverage Expo since its beginning in 1994 have discovered a well-organized, well-positioned regional show that introduced them to the vast and varied world of Virginia foods and beverages.   The Expo gave them a convenient one-stop opportunity to survey, sample and purchase outstanding Virginia fare, from classic to cutting edge.  The following comments from buyers at the 2006 Expo explain why so many plan to return for Great Taste 2008, The Virginia Food and Beverage Expo on May 14.

Great Show!  Loved being able to sample products before deciding to order!

We have been attending since the first show about 1998 or so.  Since that time, we have probably cumulatively spent upwards of $25,000 of Virginia’s Finest products.  Show is excellent opportunity to meet vendors one on one.

I am still reviewing some product information from the show.  May pick up more companies in the future.  We are a seasonal store and just opened April 1st.  Very interested in coming again.  I think the show is a wonderful way to view exciting product lines.

As a farmers’ market manager I was looking for products for my year-round vendors.  Great Show!

This was the first time I’ve attended a Virginia Food and Beverage Expo, mainly because I never knew the Expo existed.  I heard about it just the day before from one of the vendors (Rowena’s) and made a last minute decision to attend.  Very glad I did!  I will definitely attend the next one.

We are only a small business but we were impressed with the quality of the foods that were displayed at the Virginia Food and Beverage Expo.  Keep up the good work!

Overall very good with small companies offering flexibility in initial order size, delivery.  Most were family owned and realized the difficulty small businesses and “cottage industry” owners have in being successful.  Therefore, willing to listen to buyers and satisfy their requirements.
