First Lady Anne Holton (second from right) welcomed Christmas tree grower Sue Bostic (left) and her daughter Jenna along with wreath maker Sharon Rhoades (right) outside the Executive Mansion in late November. As Grand Champions of the Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association’s annual tree and wreath competitions, Bostic and Rhoades also won the honor of presenting to the First Lady the tree and wreaths that will decorate the Executive Mansion throughout the holidays. Bostic brought a 13-foot Fraser fir from Joe’s Trees, her Christmas tree operation in Craig County, Virginia. Rhoades designed two 20” wreaths that featured a variety of greenery from Mountain View Farm in Edinburg, Virginia.
