Who needs to report?

By regulations in the Code of Virginia, any veterinary practitioner, as well as others operating diagnostic laboratories, are required to report to the State Veterinarian on the existence of certain contagious and infectious diseases of livestock and poultry. In addition, certain zoonotic disease agents are included on the list of reportable diseases. Click here for further information on reporting requirements.
